HARDI Association Update: What's Happening Across HARDI in October 2026

October 28, 2026 | 3 minute read

As we head into the final months of 2026, HARDI CEO Talbot Gee shares the latest updates on industry insights, training opportunities, advocacy efforts, membership news and what's ahead for Annual Conference: Frontier.

Annual Conference: Frontier Is Almost Here!

Annual Conference: Frontier is quickly approaching, and we look forward to bringing together HVACR distribution's leading decision-makers in San Diego this December. With registration prices increasing November 1, we encourage members to secure their spots now and take advantage of the savings.

Market Intelligence: New Insights and Opportunities

Our Market Intelligence team recently published two blogs examining the growing gap between home sellers and buyers and its implications for HVACR demand, as well as the launch of our new Map of the Month series, which explores housing age as an indicator of potential replacement opportunities.

Members attending Annual Conference can also register for our Regional Outlook Sessions and receive a complimentary copy of the 2027 State of the Channel Report upon its release next year.

Training & Development: Invest in Your Team

Registration for our Spring 2027 training programs will open soon. We've also introduced new training packages designed to provide members with greater flexibility and accessibility when investing in workforce development.

We encourage members to connect with our Training team at Annual Conference to explore these opportunities and secure new training bundle pricing by December 31.

Advocacy: Protecting the HVACR Industry

Our Government Affairs team continues to address critical regulatory challenges impacting HVACR distributors.

  • Non-Compliant Equipment: HARDI is encouraging members to report suspected non-compliant equipment and refrigerants through our tipline to support compliance investigations and potential federal enforcement.

  • California Advocacy: HARDI recently hosted a successful State Advocacy Day, bringing members together to address concerns surrounding the California Energy Commission's burdensome reporting requirements.

  • Outdoor GFCI Requirements: Following the September 1 expiration of the temporary exception, we encourage members to review applicable state requirements and OEM recommendations. Additional guidance is available on the HARDI blog.

Membership & Association Updates

HARDI membership dues renewals open November 18. Members should watch for additional communications regarding the renewal process.

We're also preparing for an upcoming office relocation. Further details, including our updated mailing address, will be shared as plans progress.

Looking Ahead

From our recent HARDI LATAM Conference in Guadalajara to the upcoming Annual Conference in San Diego, our association continues to bring members together and advance the interests of HVACR distribution.

We look forward to seeing many of you in San Diego for Annual Conference: Frontier.
