Washington Legislation for Ultra-Low GWP Task Force and HFC Phasedown Passes the House

On March 5th, the State of Washington’s House of Representatives passed House Bill (HB1462), and it will now move chambers for Senate consideration. After 2 alterations, HB1462 passed the House as a bill that would now implement a statewide HFC sales prohibition on virgin refrigerants beginning in 2030 and create a task force to study the feasibility and potential timeline for an ultra-low GWP refrigerant transition.
