South Carolina Adopts Federal RCRA Regulation

On August 28, 2026, the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services (SCDES) adopted the EPA’s 2024 updates to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations in its Hazardous Waste Management rulemaking. South Carolina’s action helps ensure that the state’s reclamation regulations are aligned with the newer federal framework governing the recovery and reclamation of refrigerants.
