HARDI Forced to Comment on CEC RFI After Initial Comments Ignored

On February 12th, HARDI submitted comments in response to the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Request for Information (RFI) on proposed reporting requirements for HVAC equipment distributors, contractors, and manufacturers. HARDI also participated in the CEC's initial RFI on this same reporting requirement in August 2025.

The CEC indicated that industry feedback would be incorporated into the second RFI’s express terms. However, HARDI’s and other stakeholders’ concerns are not reflected in the revised RFI.
