DOE Proposes Major Changes to Appliance Standards Rulemaking Process

The Department of Energy has proposed significant revisions to the procedures it uses when developing appliance and equipment energy conservation standards under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. The proposal, known as the Process Rule, does not repeal any existing efficiency standards or establish new ones.
