Our advocacy efforts are centered around specific key issues relevant to the HVACR industry, wholesale distribution, and family & small businesses. Our primary objective is to educate elected officials on legislative and regulatory issues that specifically affect HVACR distributor members, their customer base, or the products they supply.

HFC Phasedown

The HVACR industry is undertaking a phasedown of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), including many of the refrigerants in use today. The HFC phasedown transitions away from high Global Warming Potential (GWP) HFCs to low-GWP alternatives across the HVACR industry.

Energy Efficiency Standards

The Department of Energy regulates energy efficiency standards across the HVACR industry. Find out the latest efficiency standards for HVACR equipment types, test procedures, and news that will impact the products you sell.

Taxation

HARDI is an advocate for the benefits created by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. We are actively pushing for a permanent extension of these provisions, including the pass-through tax deduction (Section 199A), increased estate tax exemption, and lower tax rates.
