HARDIPAC

HARDIPAC is your voice in elective politics. HARDIPAC members’ contributions are combined with others to jointly support candidates. This provides a unified and powerful voice for the wholesale distribution channel.

The purpose of HARDIPAC is to work within the federal election process to further the goals of the association through direct involvement in supporting and opposing candidates for the Office of President, United States Senate and United States House of Representatives. This is accomplished through educating our members on the importance of political activism and through financial support of candidates who support the wholesale distribution industry. HARDIPAC is governed by a seven-member board of directors serving three-year terms.

Prior Authorization

Per Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations, a corporate member company of HARDI must first provide HARDIPAC with prior authorization before any individual in its restricted class can contribute or be solicited.

If you have any questions about prior approval or HARDIPAC, please contact Alex Ayers.

HARDIPAC FAQ's

The Political Action Committee of Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDIPAC) is a voluntary, non-profit, unincorporated committee operating as a separate segregated fund of Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI). HARDIPAC is non-partisan and is not affiliated with any other political action committee or person. All contributions must be made in accordance with federal law, including the prohibitions against corporate or foreign national contributions. No individual may give more than $5,000 to HARDIPAC during one calendar year. Federal law requires political action committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year. HARDIPAC only solicits contributions from the employees of HARDI member companies after receiving approval from each corporation for such solicitation. Prior authorization can be granted for one, two, three, four or five years by simply signing on the corresponding line(s). A company may authorize only one trade association federal political action committee (PAC) to solicit its employees during any calendar year.
