Due to the current situation, we have made the tough decision to cancel our in-person event for 2020.

Our members’ health and safety are important to us, and ultimately was the reason for the cancellation. We are currently working through the different options we have to host an event virtually this year. This event will be uniquely structured around sessions developed with and through HARDI’s Councils. This format will allow us to feature a wide range of subject matter areas, to both deliver hard-hitting content specifically curated by members as well as provide an expansive networking opportunity at this event.

The goal of effective inventory management is to meet or exceed customers’ expectations of product availability while maximizing an organization’s net profits. In this one hour presentation we will discuss how to implement best practices including:

  • Making sure all material movement is properly recorded
  • Developing an approved stock list for each of your locations
  • Effectively managing lead times
  • Different techniques for maintaining the stock of items with sporadic
  • and recurring usage
  • Accurately forecasting future demand of products including weather-related seasonality
  • Setting safety stock quantities for each item to balance your desired level of customer
  • service with your inventory investment goals
  • Analyzing unusual situations to determine if they are one-time events or the start of a new trend
  • Tracking your progress in achieving pre-determined goals

As a result of attending you will develop an initial plan for maximizing the productivity and profitability of your investment in stock inventory.
