The mission of this council is to create a forum to share and bring forth best practices, opportunities and challenges related to the member organizations’ marketing activities while providing the education, support and resources that will help HARDI members evaluate and implement new marketing trends and technologies and propel their organizations to the forefront of the HVAC industry.
The marketing council works to help select and develop content/speakers for the marketing side of the Marketing & Sales Focus Conference. Additionally, the committee helps select content and presenters for the committee’s session at the HARDI Annual Conference.
The council was tasked with revamping the Annual Conference Orientation session prior to the 2016 event. This session needed to be reworked to help get new attendees amped for the days to come. The new structure of the session was successful and remains one of the Marketing Council’s projects.
The council’s work products include the HARDI Proven Vendor Program, a list of service vendors that distributors can use to help streamline their businesses and add value to their customers. These Proven Vendors are pre-vetted by current HARDI members and had to come recommended by a member to join. They also are required to be active HARDI members and they have to offer a special program or discount to HARDI members. We recently also added case studies from most of these vendors to share best practices with members and show how these Proven Vendors can help HARDI members’ businesses.
Sometimes HARDI’s Marketing team needs the assistance of HARDI Council members. We ask that all of HARDI’s Council members make it a priority to contribute when these issues arise.

A Marketing Committee member would be an active participant in the committee’s phone calls. He or she would be expected to work with the group to discover new technologies, trends & other relevant factors can better the entire supply chain.
Currently the committee is made up of 16 distributor/supplier members. At least 80% of this membership are wholesale distributors. Interested members should let HARDI committee leadership know and be documented and join as vacancies occur.
The marketing Committee has monthly phone calls and meets in person twice a year. At the Marketing & Sales Focus Conference and the Annual Conference.
