CHARITABLE WORK

OVERVIEW

The goal of this committee is to drive awareness and identify opportunities for association and member participation in appropriately identified humanitarian causes on a local, national and international level.  This includes involvement with Homes for Our Troops (HFOT), a national non-profit 501c 3 organization based in Taunton, MA, founded by John Gonsalves in 2004 (www.hfotusa.com). HARDI members have donated over $500,000 to HFOT  through the Silent Auction, the HALO Walk, Operation HVAC and private donations.

Sometimes HARDI’s Charitable work team needs the assistance of HARDI Committee members. We ask that all of HARDI’s Committees and Council members make it a priority to contribute when these issues arise.

LEADERSHIP

Chairs and Vice Chairs are held for no specified term. Other leadership roles are held for a term of 1 year.

MEMBERSHIP

Ideal Member

A Charitable Work committee member should be an active participant at HARDI events and have a passion for fundraising and service.

Membership Requirements

A committee member must be able to attend the Committee meeting at the Annual Conference and commit to Quarterly phone calls/tasks.

Meeting Times

Quarterly or when needed by Homes For Our Troops.
